How do I know my family member will get the care I want her/him to get at Thornapple Manor?

If we need a special diet, can you accommodate the request?

“Special diets are no problem as we work with all residents on an individual basis to meet their dietary needs or requirements.”

Does the facility offer fresh fruits and vegetables on a daily basis?

“We always have fruits available like bananas, oranges and apples plus a variety of seasonal fruits and a full selection of fresh vegetables. Each resident is interviewed for their preferred food selections and allergy concerns so we have the opportunity to meet their nutritional satisfaction.”

Who do I need to talk to in order to reserve a room for a party for a resident?

Residents and family members may contact a Life Enrichment team member or call 269-945-2407, ext. 1027

How late are the entrance doors open?

Entrance doors are open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m daily. For after hours, visitors may utilize the call button for assistance.

How and where do I pay my resident’s bill?

Payments can be dropped off in-person inside our main lobby at the receptionist desk. Reception hours are offered during the weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. In addition, payments can be mailed directly, paid through debit/credit card or through electronic funds transfer.

If I am disabled how can I get to my resident’s room to visit with it being a long walk?

Walkers and wheel chairs are available at the front entrance.

What time does a resident eat their meals?

Thornapple Manor is proud to offer on-demand dining, as well as scheduled meal times. Typically, residents enjoy their breakfast around 8:00 am, lunch around Noon, and dinner after 5:00 p.m. In addition, we are excited to offer residents snacks and special event opportunities.

Can I join a resident for meals?

Of course! We encourage family and friends to join a resident for dining. Visitors can purchase meal tickets from the neighborhood nursing staff or inside our main lobby at the receptionist desk.

How can I be assured that my family member will have clean, well kept clothes on every day?

We are proud to treat every resident as a family member at Thornapple Manor. We respect each resident’s clothing style preferences and we provide options that match personalities and requests.
